Topoľana is a London based jazz/folk fusion sextet playing compositions inspired by Slovak folk music. Its leader, Maria Rehakova (flute, voice) writes all the music, taking inspiration from songs she grew up with dancing and singing in a Slovak folklore group. The band consists of top up-and-coming young jazz musicians on the London scene, all graduates from The Guildhall School of Music and Trinity. They have performed in and around London and also toured Slovakia and Czech Republic.
