One of the founding fathers of the British bebop movement, Tony Kinsey has discovered and presented great new talents such as Joe Harriott, Ronnie Ross, Peter King and Sam Mayne, while continuing to develop as a composer for big bands, TV and film, string quartet, and a variety of small jazz bands. Tonight's gig features piano virtuoso John Horler, Stan Tracey's chosen bassist Andy Cleyndert, and Art Themen, one of the most original saxophonists to emerge in the UK. The Quartet will be playing a mixture of standards, bebop and original compositions by Tony Kinsey.
