The MB Big Band brings you the unforgettable music of Duke Ellington. Selectively chosen professional musicians that emulate the various stars that performed with Ellington, such as Johnny Hodges, Paul Gonsalves Harry Carney, Cootie Williams, Ray Nance, Russel Procope etc...
The Ellington Band, all about subtlety, dynamics and balance, and fantastic tunes!
The original arrangements of Concerto for Cootie, Agra, Blue Goose, Caravan, mixed with connoisseur material, etc!
The Band was created during lockdown, as only professionals could gather and rehearse. Many of these events where streamed and are viewable on YouTube, and have continued performing evenings with the works of the great big band leaders, Woody Herman, Thad Jones, The Kings of The Clarinet, (Benny, Artie and Woody) ...

MB Big Band prezentuje niezapomnianą muzykę Duke’a Ellingtona. W skład zespołu wchodzą starannie wyselekcjonowani, profesjonalni muzycy, którzy nawiązują do stylu gwiazd występujących u boku Ellingtona – takich jak Johnny Hodges, Paul Gonsalves, Harry Carney, Cootie Williams, Ray Nance czy Russell Procope.
Muzyka orkiestry Ellingtona to kwintesencja subtelności, doskonałego balansu brzmienia i fantastycznych melodii!
W repertuarze znajdują się oryginalne aranżacje utworów takich jak Concerto For Cootie, Agra, Blue Goose czy Caravan, jak i dla prawdziwych koneserów.
Zespół powstał w czasie lock down, kiedy tylko zawodowi muzycy mogli się spotkać. Wiele z tych wydarzeń transmitowano online (można je odtwarzać na YouTube); grupa kontynuuje działalność, prezentując wieczory poświęcone twórczości wielkiego liderów big-bandów, takich jak Woody Herman czy Thad Jones, a także „królów klarnetu” (Benny’ego, Artiego i Woody’ego).
Teraz prezentujemy twórczość samego „Księcia”.
