The Luna Cohen Acoustic Project brings together a select line-up with Luna herself on vocals joined by 7-string guitarist Luiz Morais, pianist Sam Watts and an incredible array of timbre by percussionist Jansen Santana, mixing a wide range of influences from all over Brazil using modern jazz expressions to create a vibrant, sophisticated and absolutely unique sound and atmosphere.
The group aims to explore the diverse regional flavours of Brazilian music in all its plurality, as well as bring a refreshing new take on well-established genres such as Samba and Bossa Nova.
Their carefully selected repertoire contemplates seminal Brazilian composers of all times as well as original compositions always arranged and performed in a free and playful way with masterful use of harmony and constant exciting rhythmic interplaying.
