The Lily Dior Band will be showcasing a selection of original music including songs written over the past two years with bassist extraordinaire Geoff Gascoyne from her soon to be recorded album of original jazz soul music!
This is an exciting project that combines Lily’s love for jazz and groove with themes of love, loss and beauty.

Recognised as one of Australia’s finest singers, Lily Dior has shared the stage with a remarkable list of outstanding musicians from Australia and around the world and has performed at many of Australia's best venues including The Opera House Concert Hall, The State Theatre and the Sydney Town Hall. A finalist at The National Jazz Awards she is also an experienced radio personality and three-time host of The Freedman Fellowship Jazz Awards held yearly at The Studio, Sydney Opera House.
The daughter of professional musicians who met and married in London, Lily spent her first five years touring the world with her parents who later settled in Australia. Returning to her roots Lily has very quickly established herself as an in-demand performer appearing regularly at iconic jazz venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The 606 Club, The Bull’s Head and Pizza Express. She was a regular guest at The Hideaway, having recently performed an Aretha Franklin show for three nights with Janette Mason and Mary Pearce, and was invited to perform at The Budapest Jazz Club last year.
Tim Lapthornis an English jazz pianist. Born in Newmarket 1976 and raised in Cambridge, Tim initially studied French and philosophy at Leeds University and then decided to change paths, completing a jazz diploma at Guildhall School of Music in 2000 where he studied with Simon Purcell, Nikki Iles and Pete Churchill. „Lapthorn blends witty invention with deep swing and unerring reassuring balance” - Mojo Magazine
With a heart of gold and a deeply soulful groove, Neville Malcolm has played with a who’s who of artists on the UK and international scene from Eric Bibb to Dave Lewis’ 1UP and beyond. He is an integral and treasured bass legend on the London scene and performs regularly at all the top venues.
Saleem Rahman is an in demand drummer of great depth, creativity and emotional range who has performed regularly with artists as diverse as Julia Biel, Sarah Gillespie, Polly Gibbons and Rouhangeze. He always brings a special energy to his collaborations and plays with great sensitivity.
