Way Out West is a unique collective of jazz musicians. Diverse improvisation, performance, arranging, composition, all come to the forefront in full force within weekly gigs, as each collective member presents collaborations of their work with guest stars from today's jazz scene.

TONIGHT Tim Whitehead and Gary Willcox are celebrating the music of Burt Bacharach. The group will be exploring the popular lyricism of Bacharach plus the energy brought by the influences of contemporary jazz.
Tim Whitehead, a master saxophonist, has won several major awards including The Peter Whittingham Award for New Music, The Andrew Milne Award and The Greater London Arts Young Jazz Musicians Award. He was the first ever musician artist in residence at Tate Britain in 2009.
