Anöna Trio feat. Imogen Ryall!
“Beautiful and moving” - Clare Teal, BBC Radio 2
The incredible Anöna Trio with Imogen Ryall on vocals will be playing a mix of originals by Julian Nicholas, with standards by Wayne Shorter, Duke Ellington, Carla Bley and Brad Meldhau - all with lyrics by Imogen Ryall!
“With her lush palette of vocal textures, Imogen (Ryall) delivery is always tender, authentic and from the heart. Julian Nicholas and Mark Edwards make up the Anöna Trio, and they dance beautifully around Imogen’s voice, to take us on a sonic journey of venturesome arrangements of much-loved standards alongside well-crafted originals, which give Ryall’s distinctive gift of lyric writing the perfect platform.
As they have made much music together over the years, this album showcases not only their world class musicianship but also their own distinctive synergy and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. A total joy from start to finish” - Claire Martin OBE
