Standard Procedure is a fresh London based band made up of current and former students studying Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. The group focus on the “dark corners” of Jazz, drafting in influences of Rock, Funk & Folk and cite their inspirations in Julian Siegel's Partisans and Nucleus.
The band is led by Sam Knight who in 2014 after joining the Guildhall School of Music & Drama became a member of NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra), serving as an official deputy for the Tenor Saxophone chairs. He has also been a member of the Guildhall Jazz Orchestra since 2014 and has performed such works as Kenny Wheeler's 'Sweet Time Suite' and John Taylor's 'The Traveller's Tail' alongside special guest, Huw Warren.
At the Guildhall, Sam has already received tuition from former member of The Jazz Messengers and world renowned Jazz saxophonist, Jean Toussaint as well as Martin Speake, Gareth Lockrane, Christian Forshaw, Trevor Tomkins, Malcolm Edmonstone, Scott Stroman, Barry Green, Charnett Moffett, Julian Siegel & Ben Wende.

Grupa ta koncentruje się na ‘ciemnych zakątkach’ jazzu czerpiąc z rocka, funku i folku, inspirując się także twórczością Juliana Siegela Partisansa oraz Nucleus.
Lider grupy to Sam Knight, ktory jako student Guildhall School of Music & Drama był również członkiem czlonkiem National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
